Your magical family adventure begins at our beautiful country retreat. This is why we love The Slaughters Country Inn. Our family days here are spent enjoying picnics by the river, roasting marshmallows around campfires and playing garden games. Your family become our family – everyone’s welcome.
Our passion for the simple things in life inspire us to create special family experiences.
Our beautiful gardens play host to our passionate beliefs in the simple pleasures of family, friends and fun.
Set on the banks of the River Eye, our terrace and gardens at The Slaughters Country Inn entertain outdoor playfulness, family fun days and barbecues. Our grounds open up nature hunts with exciting finds and new discoveries and there are walks a plenty in the local area.
Play tennis, boules and croquet at our sister hotel, a small hop over the river at The Slaughters Manor House.
Our Garden Menu for our V.I.L.P (very important little people) is available all day every day. Children are welcome in the restaurant until 8.00pm, with last orders being placed by 7.00pm.
Our V.I.L.P can have their own special picnic hamper whenever they choose. We do “grown-up” picnic hampers too so the whole family can enjoy the experience together in our beautiful outdoor spaces, in private areas within our hotel or in the comfort of your own room. All we ask is that you pre-order any hampers with a member of our team.
Our comfortable family rooms, suites and cottages ensure everyone has a good night’s sleep. Choose from interconnecting spaces, twin beds and living rooms with sofa beds.

All of our cottages and one or two of our Deluxe Rooms and Family Suites can accommodate dogs. After all, they're part of the family too.

Just a few steps from the main hotel, our tree-lined Cottages have a generous bedroom on the first floor and a separate living area on the ground floor, complete with a sofa bed.
